Glasgow Lawyers cleared on Extortion Charges - Result!
A QUESTION ABOUT SCOTTISH JUROR CONSTITUTION: CAN COURT STAFF 'STACK' A JURY?
The Police Investigation and Crown Prosecution into the theft of a Da Vinci masteriece, recovered from the offices of Glasgow law firm HBJ Gately Wareing, cost the taxpayer MANY MILLIONS of POUNDS. HBJ lawyers CALUM JONES and DAVID BOYCE stood trial in 2009 charged with extorting £2MILLION. Before the trial began, Jones and Boyce tried to beat the rap by claiming they were entrapped by Police. The judges though, were having none of it:
"I found the evidence of the accused Jones that he had never thought, or had any cause to consider, that there was anything unlawful about the planned return of the painting to Scotland difficult to accept and I did not do so..." - LORD MACKAY OF DRUMADOON
The language used by Lord Mackay and three other judges involved in those pre-trial hearings was so scathing that one could be forgiven for thinking that the wigs had already made up their minds as to the guilt of Jones and Boyce. The jury however took the opposite view and found both accused NOT GUILTY!

A JUDICIAL CONSPIRACY TO PERVERT THE COURSE OF JUSTICE?
A Lothian & Borders Police investigation concluded that this conspiracy DID exist. Senior members of Scotland's Legal Establishment were outraged at such an accusation and duly instructed Eton-educated William Nimmo Smith (now a Scottish Law Lord) and James Friel (now a Sheriff) to 'investigate further'. They concluded that the police were bang out of order for arriving at the conclusions that they did - and also accused many of the police officers involved of being homophobic and lawyerphobic!

Lawyer self-protectionism at its most dangerous
Glasgow solicitor Ian Donnelly begged a prostitute to arrange for him to have sex with a mother and her 11-year-old daughter. This deviant Scottish lawyer was also found guilty of possessing child porn.
Despite the gravity of his crimes, Donnelly was sentenced to a paltry 180 HOURS COMMUNITY SERVICE thanks to fellow lawyer, SHERIFF ALISTAIR NOBLE, who afforded this paedophile the customary solicitor/pervert leniency.
The Law Society can thank the spineless Scotsman and Herald newspapers for their silence on this scandal.

Sheriff Rebukes Findlay QC
Sheriff McLernan lies to murder squad detectives about the length of time he spent with the victim on the night before her death. This from a man who is a professional judge of such important facts.
POLICE investigating the murder of Angelika Kluk questioned Sheriff Kieran McLernan about the last time he saw the girl. He told them: "We spoke for a minute or two then I left." But CCTV evidence revealed Daddy had, in actual fact, spent 45 MINUTES with Angelika on the night before her death. They hugged, spoke at great length, exchanged email addresses and McLernan even took along a wee present for his "golfing protege". Donald Findlay QC, out of "professional courtesy", stopped fractionally short of calling the sheriff a bare-faced liar. Well, this Webmaster won't. Sheriff Kieran McLernan clearly lied to the police in relation to the time he spent with Angelika in an attempt to mitigate his own involvment with the 23-year-old. One can only speculate as to why he did so.
